ZkSync ecosystem is an EVM-compatible ZK Rollup that aims to scale Ethereum. ZK Rollup is a layer 2 scaling solution that uses cryptographic validity proofs (SNARKs) to scale computation.
As a new blockchain still in the testnet phase, you might be lucky to get some zksync airdrop as an early tester.
This article is a detailed guide on how you can position yourself for the zksync blockchain for potential zksync airdops and rewards.
What Is Airdrop
Airdrops involve crypto projects sending free tokens en masse to their communities in a bid to encourage adoption.
Crypto users that frequently interact with new and existing platforms will likely receive an airdrop at some stage. Airdrops involve blockchain-based projects and developers sending out free tokens to members of their communities as part of a broader marketing initiative.
The main idea is to send newly minted tokens to hundreds or thousands of different wallet addresses with the hope recipients will be more inclined to engage with the corresponding project – even if it’s only to learn how to cash out the free tokens into something else.
How To Position Yourself For The Zksync Airdrop/Zksync Ecosystem
If you’re a newbie, the first step is to set up your wallets. If you are PC install Metamask on your chrome extension if android download Kiwi and visit the chrome store to add the metamask extension( Click link to download https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/metamask/nkbihfbeogaeaoehlefnkodbefgpgknn)
After, you have added the metamask extension, go ahead and create a wallet and Backup your recovery phrase. Make sure you keep the recovery phrase very safe because if you lose it you will never have access to your account again.
Now go ahead and open the metamask wallet and add the Zksync network
Open your metamask and click on network Click add Network, copy & paste these details Network:
Name: zkSync 2.0 Testnet Goerli
New RPC: zksync2-testnet.zksync.dev
Chain ID: 280
Symbol: ETH
On fulling the new RPC you will notice that the HTTPS:// has disappeared just type it
Ignore the red text on the image above, just proceed with the process stated above
Now Go to portal.zksync.io (for android users put your browser to desktop mode ) Select metamask and connect your metamask Then click the faucet
You should be redirected to a site like the image below, Click “Request Funds from Faucets” You will be redirected to Twitter to make a tweet, click the “tweet” and post that tweet do not edit anything.
After that you should receive your faucet Eth in your wallet.
Now click on bridge –> Input amount to bridge from zkSync to Goerli>> Click withdraw >>Check your metamask you should see a transaction approval request, click and approve the transaction.

Now repeat the process but this time from Goerli to zkSync and approve the transaction on metamask.
Transactions To Make To Qualify For Zksync Airdrop
- Go to wallet and Click transfer
- Copy and paste the another metamask address(You can create multiple wallet on metamask)
- Input amount
- Transfer and approve wallet transaction
Next switch to receive, Copy your address Go to the 2nd wallet where you sent the token, and send it back to your wallet. It might sound weird but just do it.
Now relax till mainnet launch for rewards.
